Branding Process
I presented 3 distinct visual directions for Kingdom Forge. Travis chose Direction 1, Battle Forge.
Travis was presented 3 logo compositions that followed the tone set by the mood board. He chose Concept 3, crushing the fiery serpent.
Here I set out to refine the logo overall, but it still wasn't quite there. In an attempt to make the snake more snake-like, the flame like appearance was lost and the colors were too removed from the original concept.
Here Travis and I landed on something we were both stoked about. The hammer is reminiscent of the original, the flame was re-ignited, and we ditched the gradient colors. The gradient colors are implemented for branding in other ways.

Web-Design Process
Since Travis and I had already made the Kingdom Forge brand with a brand guide, we had a great launch point to design the website. I broke the project down into 4 phases to establish what deliverables would be done when.
Phase 1 involved content inventory, site map, website-specific mood board, and a low fidelity wireframe for the mobile and desktop landing pages. All brainstorming, planning, and collaboration was done using FigJam.
For the website-specific mood board, I pulled from example websites that I believe could execute what Travis needed for Kingdom Forge.
I researched and studied other video game studio websites to look for how they presented information. I marked and took note of what would or wouldn't work for my use case. This image covers my research for each web page I would be designing for Kingdom Forge.
This is what I call my low-fidelity wireframe. Based on my research, I frankenstein'd elements from the websites in order to present structure, navigation, and flow for the Kingdom Forge Website. I created a wireframe like this for each page of the website. These images were used for reference only.
Phase 2 involved a basic style guide and visual example for general direction. Brand colors and typography were taken from the brand guide.
