The customer provided directions on a drawing. I searched for images to reference, assembled this design on Illustrator, rendered in Photoshop, and sent to the customer for review. I had a blast putting this one together.

I found photos online for the central weight and the 2 bars for a base. Then I found a 3D octopus model, took screenshots of individual parts at different angles, and then assembled a majority of the coin in Photoshop.

International PathFinder camporee - moses 3" pin set

This pin design is composed of 4 parts. Originally the customer wanted Moses's staff on the top going across the entire design, but I directed him to the final version of the design. The staff would have been 3" x .5" and would have required 3 posts. Imagine a child trying to put that on.
The first challenge of this design was interpreting his artwork. First scene depicts Moses being found by an Egyptian Princess. Second is when God parts the Red Sea for the Israelites. Third scene is when Moses strikes the rocks and the Lord provides water for the Israelites in the wilderness. The customers original third scene was the pillar of fire, which we ended up changing for striking the rock because that event took place after the Israelites crossed the Red Sea.
I scoured the internet for references to these scenes to assemble and create something beautiful for the customer. I predominantly used kids visual bibles, and The Prince of Egypt movie for scene references.

Front of the coin is dual-plated with a 3D sheriff badge and state of Michigan. The back of the coin displays a UV print of the 4 seasons with 4 locations in Emmet county.

Customer requested a pin to commemorate their wedding in Mexico. They requested a beach theme including a palm tree, maracas, and a sombrero. This was my final composition.
US Army PharaoH 3.50" Coin
US Army customer requested a coin to commemorate their class graduation. They provided the pharaoh illustration and requested some symbols to be added along with a design for the back. I presented a dual-plated 3D mock with different areas highlighted to be raised for 3D effect including the rankings, face, arms, and emblem. I also added translucent filler to some of the details on the coin.
Baseball 1.50" pins
Customer requested 5 different pin compositions for the different age groups of their baseball league. Baseball season for Sterling is the busiest time of the year. Over the years they've saved assets to be recycled in order to develop designs more quickly. All designs need to be different so it was a fun challenge to assemble different compositions with the assets and customer provided team logos.
Blaze pizza 1.25" pins
Customer requested a series of pins to award their employers for good service with the 4th being awarded for achieving the other 3 pins. They provided the verbiage for the pins and provided me the freedom to create the concept and execution.
BETA 2" Slider pins
National Beta is a non-profit organization that encourages students to lead, serve, and achieve since 1934. They have events every year where kids are recognized and host academic competitions between other beta clubs across the US. School clubs would reach out periodically to make pins to wear for their competitions.
